Quick update

Hello just a quick update of all that's been going on here in the churches. The church here and in Tampico are in need to be painted and some other things. Pray The Lord will provide. Last Sunday we had 24 in attendance and today we had 16. Please pray for the deaf to grow spiritually as they seem to be struggling with that and pray that we would have the wisdom to teach them. The church in Tampico is in need of a pastor please pray that God will call someone to take over the ministry there so that church can begin growing again.  If you would like to help with some of the cost to repaint or other needs the church's have please contact us via Facebook or email 

Post not posting

We had a lot of post for some reason that did not get posted and we never checked. Please forgive the year delay on this post. We have the problem fix and hopefully will be able to keep it fixed and posting. Let's see most have been following us personally on face so will not recap this year. However will tell you of some plans we have coming up. We have plans to go to Leon Guanajuato for a ministry opportunity. Pray that this will be fruitful and God be honored. church is doing good. We have some new people that have been coming pray for these as they are very low verbal and need the gospel. Thanks for your prayer.

Wow

We have had many ups and downs in the ministry these last 3 months. The attendance has been steady. We have had to run to the USA for the death of crystals grandmother and for a mission conference. We did have someone help out in these events. We have some wonderful news. We have see souls saved recently. Thanking the Lord for these souls. There have been some changes in the church but God is working it all for his glory. Thank you for your prayers and love for our ministry as we continue to see God work and know He is continuing to work here among the deaf.

Vbs and camp

We have spent last week at vbs with a total of 6 deaf and this week with our teen at camp. Let's say our hands have been flying. During the middle of this we picked up a cold which makes us running a little slow. We have been working on our adoption please go to our adoption blog to check it out. We have been running around 15 to 21 at church in mante. We also have been running to Tampico to help there with the church and property issues. Please keeps in prayer .

Maria ????

We have just met a little old lady named maria (???) . She is in her 80's and lives alone after brother in law died and has no family willing to take care of her. She lives day by day for food, water, and bills to be paid. She doesn't know sign language but does uses mime a lot to help her communicate. This is such a sad story that it breaks your heart. Pray for her as we try to witness to her of Gods love for her.

We have completed two years here in Mexico now. Things have its up and downs like anything in life. We are happy to say we have seen souls saved, a building we are renting for the church, and life slowly being changed and that is the most important thing. We are trying to disciple them and see them grow in the Lord. however this is the battle. Pray that God will work in their heart for spiritual growth instead of staying spiritual babies. Sorry so long since our last update, since then So much has happened. Crystal had a wreck. Went to renew our visa and still on hold for a more permant visa. Adoption agency direction changed agencies and new one decided not to work with us. Ministry is growing, we had 21 with a visitor and some of our members we not able to come. Pray for souls to be saved and that we can see more deaf changed for Christ. We are looking into ways to reach more deaf children.

As for the adoption we have changed agency which has set us back. Please pray that we can get this moving fast with the new agency however that means money. Pray god will move and provided the money for us to adopt. We have seen people willing to help us by donating part or all the proceeds from a fundraiser plus we will be doing a sale to help finance bringing home our angel. update and adoption.

I cant believe its been so long since i have updated our blog. We have some deaf move away and some new ones coming. We officially moved the church into its own building and we continue to see growth spiritually among the deaf. We are still working on the papers for the visas because we need to be registered with the government first and waiting for that to happen. We have also started our homestudy for adopting a child. Please pray with us during this time as we try to adopt. We have a couple options open to us. One would to be foreign (haiti) adoption which we have prayed about before during the earthquake a few years back. Second would be to adopt through the foster care, however this brings up many questions and concerns with us being missionaries and living out of the country. The third would be a birthmother in the states threw one of the churches finding us and placing the child with us after the birth. The first and third would be ideal so please pray that God will open up the right door at this time. We have been teaching 2 deaf children sign language on a weekly basis and also weekly at the bible institute here in Mante. We have a student that is in the bible institute working with us this sememster to train him to work in deaf ministry after he graduates in december.

The church has been running from 15 to 20 these last few months. We have seen 4 professions of faith and now renting a building for the church. We will be having our first service there sunday March 6 as a dedication service. Please pray for this as we still have a lot to do to get ready for. We went to Cd. Victoria yesterday to find out the paperwork was wrong, we are correcting this and are hopfully able to return on monday and have all the paperwork correct and to send them on to mexico city to finanalize them. Pray for us during this time. Also we have found out that mexico has passed a law that will not let us go straight to dif (social service) and adopt that way and let us nationalize the child as a citizen of the US so we are back to square one on this. Our options are either go through an agency (which are all waiting for approval from Mexico because of new law) or adopt from somewhere else which means US homestudy. Please pray for wisdom on this as we seek the lords leading, and timing.

4 months

We have been here about 4 months now. The church is running around 11 with highs of 14. We have seen decisions made for salvation and for returning back to God. Please pray for these wonderful Souls. The name of the church is Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida Para Sordos. There is a website link from our website www.deafofmex.com please feel free to look at both. Also there has been some songs done in lsm on the website and more will come not only from us but from the deaf in the church. David has started teaching mexican sign language at a bible college here in Mante. There are 23 students at this moment as some will change and may get new students. Please pray that they will use this language to minister and see precious deaf souls saved.

We are in Mexico

We have been in Mexico for about 3 weeks now. We have had wonderful meetings with the deaf. We have had 7 counting us at the last two meetings. We are still looking for the house. We have one that is a good possibility but right now people are living in it and not sure exactly when they will be leaving. The this week or next is what we hear but that is meaning not now. =) Please pray for us to be able to get the house God wants us to have and quickly.

We are in Mexico. Made it threw the check points fine. We will be looking for a house these next couple weeks. Please pray for this.

As many of you know we bought a van last month. We are still waiting for the title. Please pray that we can get the title by Saturday so we can head to Mexico.

What a last two weeks. While in the southeast we have slid the car into the ditch, went to the national fellowship meeting, and sign a song at the meeting, and sign a song at the meeting. We received an email from a church in Vermont telling us they voted to take us on and we will start receiving support soon.We have 7 weeks before moving to Mexico and looking forward to getting everything ready to go. Please pray we can raise the last bit of support needed and also that we can find the right house before the move.

4 months

Wow, In 4 months we will be begin a new stage of our life. We will packing everything up and moving to Mexico. We are so looking forward to this. We are still in need of the last little bit of support, please pray that we will be able to raise it. Also pray for our moving expenses, With limited moving space we are buying a lot of the big items there but are buying some things here. If you are interested in helping in this please email us. This week we will be traveling from pa to iowa pray for our safety.

We passed out over 750 tracks and candy for a churchs track and treat on Halloween.At the track and treat we meet a deaf couple and invited them to church along with many Hispanic families. We have made arrangements to talk to a deaf lady who is interested in working with the deaf. Please pray for this lady. We are so excited about coming to the end of deputation even though we do have a couple months left.Pray that these churches and ones we were at will partner with us.

already october....

Already October? I am so sorry we keep forgetting to blog often. We have had some good meetings and 2 of the last 3 have taken us on for support and the 3rd is promising. Please pray for us as we try to raise that last little bit that we need. We are planning on leaving the end of March first of April unless the Lord leads otherwise. We are in IL right now and will be in and out for the next few weeks. Since the last post we have seen some people surrender to mission work and also meet some people who have a love for deaf people. Please pray that as we are presenting in these churches God will call more people to work with the deaf. In America there is over 18 million and in Mexico over 6. Times flies!!!!

We have had 4 new supporting churches and 3 that have promised to take us on. We just finished interpreting at a camp for a deaf boy. God is working in our ministry even on deputation. We are so amazed at Him even using us. We have seen people surrender to full time ministry. Pray for us as we travel and that we will be able to go to deaf camp in mexico this year...... Thank you for your prayers and love...

Mission conference

Just finished a wonderful Mission Conference in TX. We ate monkey on a stick.... and many other wonderful foods. IN the last two months we have had 2 churches promise to support us and a few that are going to be voting on us and we are praying that they will partner with us. We have been in many wonderful churches this year and are thankful for each one.... We are getting closer to going home. We can not wait. Hopefully we will be able to go to camp this year. It is July 20-25 in Mante. Yes that is the same mante we are heading to. We are so excited and can not wait.....
